Halemau'uma'u's crater's view from the overlook outside the Jagger Museum offers an incredible panoramic view of the Kilauea Caldera. On a clear night, the erupting crater can provide the visitor with a spectacular view.
Jagger Museum's main function is the study and display of volcanology which focuses on eruption, flow, and type of lava. The scientific equipment and methods used by the seismologists also can be viewed in the main exhibits.
